WOMEN AT NBCU ADVISORY BOARD ADDS EIGHT PROMINENT INDUSTRY EXPERTS TO ITS DIGITAL COMMITTEE
Digital Committee Is An Extension of the Women at NBCU Advisory Board
New York, NY – December 4, 2012 – Women at NBCU, NBCUniversal Integrated Media’s female-targeted creative content, marketing, and research initiative, announced today the addition of eight high-level digital executives across a broad range of industries to “Women@NBC,” the digital sub-committee of the Women at NBCU Advisory Board. The announcement was made today at a bi-annual meeting of Women at NBCU’s Advisory Board.
New members include Gina Bianchini, Founder, Mightybell; Theresia Gouw, Partner, Accel Partners; Aileen Lee, Founder, Cowboy Ventures and Partner, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Alison Moore, EVP and GM of DailyCandy; Brit Morin, Founder & CEO, Brit Media, Inc.; Janet Scardino, former CEO, Viggle Inc.; Tina Sharkey, former Chairman and Global President, BabyCenter LLC, a Johnson and Johnson company; and, Randi Zuckerberg, Founder, Zuckerberg Media. The digital committee, which is co-chaired by Lauren Zalaznick, Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media, and Nick Lehman, President of Digital for the same division, serves as a “think tank” on female trends and marketing to women across the web, mobile, social and emerging media platforms. The committee was founded in May of 2012.

The Women@NBCU committee recently gathered at a salon in San Francisco to hear about findings from NBCUniversal Integrated Media’s The Curve - volume 2, a bi-annual report of insights and upcoming trends. In addition to the discussion about The Curve’s data, which is digitally-focused in volume 2, the salon included a dialogue with Twitter’s Chloe Sladden and One Kings Lane’s Alison Pincus (both Women@NBCU members), moderated by Lehman.
