NBC NEWS SOTU COVERAGE TO INCLUDE FIRST REACTION FROM MITT ROMNEY IN LIVE INTERVEW WITH BRIAN WILLIAMS
 
 



NEW YORK, NY-- JAN. 24, 2012-- NBC News will provide live coverage of President Obama’s State of the Union address to Congress beginning at 9pm ET (6pm PT) across all time zones. Brian Williams will anchor from Washington, DC, joined by David Gregory, Chuck Todd, and Andrea Mitchell. Kelly O’Donnell will report from inside the House chamber. The broadcast will also include the Republican response from Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana.

Immediately following Gov. Daniels’ remarks, Mitt Romney will give his first reaction to the speech in a live interview with Brian Williams. The network’s special coverage also includes scheduled interviews with White House senior adviser David Plouffe and Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL).

Both the State of the Union and the Republican response will stream live on NBCPolitics.com. NBC News’ political team will offer live analysis on the site, including a Storify of reactions from across social media sites. You can also follow the political team covering the speech by following this Twitter list https://twitter.com/NBCPolitics/nbcsotu and the hashtag #NBCSOTU.

The network will also use Spanish-language closed captioning to provide simultaneous translation of tonight's State of the Union coverage. Beginning at 9pm ET (6pm PT), viewers can access the translations through CC2 on their television remote.
